The Switch Joy-Con are pretty easy to charge, but the catch is that you have to attach them to the console. With that in mind, Nintendo has announced a new Switch Joy-Con Charging Stand, which makes it easy to charge these controllers away from the console.

This new accessory will arrive in Japan on October 17, 2024 for 3,300 yen (approximately $21 USD) and is available for pre-order now here via the My Nintendo Store. [Update: Nintendo UK has tweeted confirming that the stand will also be releasing in Europe, too — we’re just waiting official world from NoA now.]

It can charge Joy-Con upright or you can remove the stand, making it look like a controller. Notably, you can also charge the wireless Famicom controllers, which are exclusive to Japan and can be used with the Switch Online Famicom library.

Here’s a look at this new accessory, with a translated description:

“You can easily charge the Joy-Con at any time without having to attach it to the Nintendo Switch console. This is recommended for people who have multiple Joy-Con, such as when you want to charge the number of Joy-Con so that everyone can play games at the same time such as the “Mario Party” series or “Nintendo Switch Sports”, or when you want to charge Joy-Con that you are not using while playing in portable mode. It can also charge the “Family Computer Controller” for Nintendo Switch.”
