Catherine, Princess of Wales, will attend the Wimbledon men’s final on Sunday, her second public appearance since announcing she had cancer in March, Kensington Palace confirmed on Saturday.
Catherine, who has been seen at one official event since December, will be on Centre Court to watch reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz take on Novak Djokovic. However, she will not be attending the women’s final on Saturday.
She last appeared in public to attend King Charles III’s birthday parade in June. Before that appearance, she released a statement saying she was making good progress with her treatment, but that there were “good days and bad days.”
Catherine, 42, added that chemotherapy and other care would continue for several more months.
Since 2016, the Princess, who is still widely known as Kate Middleton, has been the Royal Patron of the All England Club. As part of her duties, she usually presents the trophy to the winners of the men’s and women’s singles finals.
According to a Wimbledon spokesman, Catherine has requested that Deborah Jevans, the chairman of the All England Club, present the women’s singles trophy this year.
