Author Stephen King sparked outrage after he posted a comment about the shooting of Donald Trump on Saturday.
Referring to the weapon used in the incident, King posted: “The shooting in Butler involved an AR-15 style semi-automatic rifle. These are the weapons the Republican Party, and Trump, want to protect.”
The author’s post was immediately flooded with responses.
One user commented: “For a fiction writer, Stephen King knows little about this subject. Stick to your fictional path.”
The post has already been viewed almost half a million times.
